The Kiddush Committee's goal is to enhance our Beth Israel Community by providing a nutritious meal following Shabbat morning services where members can relax and get to know each other better.  In addition to a basic cold meal provided each week, we also offer members the opportunity to sponsor a kiddush with three different levels of sponsorship and flexible menus.  If you already attend Shabbat morning services you have probably tasted our tuna salad; if not, you should really give it a try!

Of course, we don't do this all by ourselves!  The committee's primary role is coordinate volunteers to work in the kitchen - either during the week or on Shabbat - to prepare, set up, and clean up the meal.  Don’t worry if you have never worked in the kitchen before. We'll show you around and let you assist a more experienced volunteer.  We do our best to make it an easy and enjoyable experience for all our volunteers by shopping for the food ahead of time and providing you with detailed information and menus.

The Kiddush Committee needs your help!  We prepare 30-35 meals each year, relying entirely on volunteer effort. So come and learn about the kitchen and contribute to our community in this fun and easy way!

If you would like to sponsor a kiddush in honor of a simcha in your family or just because, click here for more information, including the menus for our three sponsorship levels.
