As our forebears did for us, today’s Beth Israel Center community has a responsibility and an opportunity to forge a synagogue that can endure as a vibrant, caring spiritual home ... a place where every member and visitor can meet, gather, worship, learn, celebrate and mourn together ... now and for generations to come. L’Dor VaDor. Our challenge today is to attend to our aging synagogue’s needs. Like the demands that Beth Israel’s founders faced when building this synagogue in 1949, this effort requires a deep and full commitment from our current members and others who care about the present and future of Beth Israel Center. No one person can make our dreams for Beth Israel come true. We need everyone to join us in this historic chapter of Beth Israel Center’s life. For ourselves, for our children, for our children’s children. For the future of traditional, egalitarian Judaism in Madison. As a community, we will make L’Dor VaDor our legacy. As the L'Dor VaDor project unfolds at Beth Israel Center, updates on our remodeling plans and fundraising efforts will be posted here. Catch up on the progress to date, and check back in the coming weeks and months for updates. Want to get (more) involved? Have a question?
